Call for applications for part-time English teachers (April 2025)
We are currently inviting applications from motivated English teachers who have:
1) Native or near-native English-level proficiency
2) Native Japanese-level proficiency
Teaching Positions:
105-minute English Interaction and English reading classes for undergraduates, held once per week for 2x13-week semesters (courses are year-long from April to January).
Days and times of classes are negotiable, and pay depends on qualifications and experience. Positions are offered on a yearly basis, and are renewable by mutual agreement.
Qualifications:
1. have native, or near native, English-level proficiency with experience living in an English-speaking country OR
have native Japanese-level proficiency with near-native proficiency in English and experience of living in an English-speaking country
2. hold a Master’s degree or higher, in TESOL or a related field
3. have at least 3 years of teaching experience at university level in Japan
4. have published academic articles

along with a one-page description in English of their approach to teaching, either by post or email to one of the addresses that are provided below.
Please indicate your availability to teach (days and times) in your cover letter, and write “Part-Time (English) 2025” in red ink on the envelope, or as the title of your email.
